Verse 1
Dear friend I’ve news with you to share
Reason for hope, reason to care
When you feel down, deep in despair
He sees you cry and hears your prayer
Chorus
This story old and long foretold,
Yet glad I am to sing it bold!
This gift of life, a love so true,
Christ Jesus born for me and you.
Verse 2
The angel sang, proclaimed with joy,
“In Bethlehem, is born a boy.
Come shepherds come, in manger lay
Christ Jesus Lord is born today.”
Verse 3
The wisemen came to find the King,
“We’ve gifts of myrrh and gold to bring.
Our knees are bowed in reverence to
Christ Jesus born for me and you.”
